I received a call about getting sued by the IRS, I just deleted the message. This is the 2nd time I have received this. Someone should sue them for slander.

Just received a call from this same number at my job, saying I owed $$ from back taxes from the last 5 years and was being sued. They said I could settle it today if I pay $4996, or run the risk of being taken to court, belongings seize or taken to jail. Def. had a strong indian accent which at times was very hard to understand, very rude and aggresive. When i asked to speak to a supervisor he refused saying he had all the info on me. I asked if IRS agents are trained to be rude and yell at people over the phone, and if it was regular practice to collect funds owed over the phone. I hung up, looked up the number and found many complaints with similar situation. Beware, IRS never makes such calls, and def does not take payment over the phone. SCAM...SCAM...SCAM....SCAM...
Just got this call saying they were the irs and that I owed money from 2011-2013. That I would be sued 47,000, they would take my house away, put me in jail unless I paid them $1492. I said well funny since I do my taxes on turbo tax an never received any papers in mail! I told him I would like documents before I sent them anything. He then turned rude and said I can't do that it's already in court.
