They are still doing this scam have had several call with the 206 area code and never call the number they give me back. I am of the mind if I didn't earn it then it isn't mine. Sad that people do this all the time.
Received the same phone call from a lady yesterday afternoon from an incomplete phone number 23452154, she said i had been selected by my phone number to receive a federal government grant of $9,200. for not having criminal background or debts and that I could receive the money three ways, either by cash on hand through Western Union, credit card, or checking account. I told her there was no way I was giving her any checking account information, she said that was fine and gave me a money approval # and to call 206-201-2796 and give them that approval #. Sounded too fake.
Same here..I was picked to receive a grant for 9,200 and could get it 3 ways,and gave me claim number and number to call,then said I had to send 200 dollars but it would not be used..lol some people are right and I just feel bad for the ones that actually believe them and send them their hard earned money.
I called the number back and explained to the guy that i was going to report him to the FBI. I explained to him that the number sounds like a scam and that I am going to report him. He told said "who the F*&% are you to talk to me like that? Don't talk to me like that or i will put a bullet in your head!" He is being reported. why the phone companies shut these numbers down when call like this are made?
Got a call today 07/07/2015 from unknown number said government was giving me a $9200 grant for being a good citizen. Offered me the money direct deposit or western union. Told me to call this number(206-201-2796) to claim my cash. Bunch of bull****!!! Since when has the government given away anything for free or used Indian telemarketers to do it.
