Came home from work and found an auto-mated message on the land line stating that we were being sued by the IRS and were told to call back for more information. It freaked me out for a moment and I contacted my husband whom quickly put my perspective back into reality and told me to research the number. Behold, I read many reviews about this scam and I felt like an idiot for falling for it, even if it was just for a minute. Do not answer calls from this number and don't call back. The police has informed me to block the number as well.
I got the same message asking to call back which I did. I was freaking out and the guy was very aggressive because my son was making noise in the background. He asked me to write my case number and his I'd number. I was following his order. But h e made 2 mistakes. When he said his name I became suspicious because he sounded Indian and his first and last name sounded Caucasian. That's when I asked him to hold for a mn so I could answer the door . I muted my phone and google irs scams. Iwhen I came back on the line he was asking who was at the door that's when I started getting aggressive to test him. He started to apologize that's when I knew for sure it was a scam. I said it was the police was trying to locate the call and he immediately hang up. IT was Thursday August 12. I ve been having fun with them since. I kept calling them and saying I just slept with their wife or mom.
