Got a call from a man claiming to be an attorney representing a payday loan company I did business with. His name was Dan Wilson (veary heavy Indian accent though), told me I would be issued a subpoena due to my account being past due. Told me they wanted no more money from me for now and want to press criminal charges!?! I contacted the loan company and i already knew I was behind in some payments, but they had NO knowledge of an attorney by that name or my account even being given to a third party! I called him back and started asking question after question to see what type of BS this guy was on. Needless tio say he hurried me off of the phone. Don't give this guy ANY info at all!
the same man called me but he gave me the last 4 digits of my ssn an everything when i started questioning him he hung up i called bk no ans traced the call he is callin from a cell ph/bussiness ph kinda funny to me he had my info ive been calling bk to bk for a couple of days an no ans but your right really heavy indian voice an u can barely understand what he is saying
To Heather & other victims of this nonsense-
No worries besides your nerves being racked over this person calling you at work. They are not real it is a scam and I suggest that you get as much documentation from these message boards and your call records as soon as possible and go file an identity theft / fraud report with your local Police Department .This is to protect you should you need it down the road. File a complaint at with the FTC as well and get your credit report and check it good . At this point there needs to be some damage control, change your numbers : phone # bank Account # SSN # if you have too ....yes it is that serious.
This will not stop anytime soon and even if it does they will contact you a month or too later. I am in the process of doing all these things just know that you are not alone. They have your info and sell it to other debt collection scammers as well.

This David Cooper called my job 4 times this morning and another 4 times this afternoon. I am all done researching this issue & I am going to the police as soon as I get off of work this is crazy and they have been doing this for over a year and a half now !
