I went crazy for 2 days trying to find out who my 15 yr old daughter was texting 9 pages worth of phone bill with this 1 phone number in 2 days! I called T mobile and they played dumb and said they couldn't help me find out who it was. Then I read on several web sights that this one number belongs to T-mobile and it appears on the bill of several customers that also had NEVER had anything to do withtexting this number! IMAGINE BEING A MOTHER IN THIS DAY & AGE TRYING TO PROTECT YOUR 15 YR OLD DAUGHTER & THIS PHONE NUMBER POPS UP ON 9 PAGES IN 1-2 DAYS!!!
My wife had 13 text messages (sent) to (206) 313-0004 in our latest bill from T-Mobile. We don't know anyone from that area code, but we were charged 35 cents per message. The T-Mobile rep argued that my wife texted those messages to that number and that there's nothing he can do. It seems like T-Mobile reps always have identical answers when someone (a customer) complains about text messages they did not make that appear on their bill: (1) you let your friends borrow your cell phone or (2) you must have left your cell phone and others (friends) used it to text the messages. T-Mobile is the worst cellular carrier in the U.S. today. We don't even get any signal from our own house! Which means we cannot make calls or receive calls.
I received a text message from some idiot at (763) 229-8232 saying simply "Dork." The message center was (206) 313-0004. Maybe some dumb kid with too much time on his hands just dinking around. Still p*$$es me off, though.
My 2 line on my family plan also had the 206-313-0004 text messages on it.I am also a Tmobile carrier.Over 25 texts showed up on my last online bill..It didn't cost me becuz I have unlimited texts but I was still pissed not knowing what number it was. Thanks, good to know I'm not the only one.The number is based out of seattle washington.
I called Tmobile due to conceren about this issue.Having unlimited texts it does not affect me but I still think it's [***] for others. They told me they are going to investigate the number and see where the problem is. So maybe the next person who calls with the same issue wont have such a hard time, geting the charges reversed. I also informed them of this site and the multiple complaints about that number.Sorry for anyone who had to pay for that [***].
OK I just got off the phone after basically demanding to know where these texts were going to and here's what the rep told me. When you're roaming (when you're mooching off of another network like ATT or suncom) and send a text it comes up on your T Mobile bill from the text service provider. So its your regular texts but it just listed from the service provider.
