I went crazy for 2 days trying to find out who my 15 yr old daughter was texting 9 pages worth of phone bill with this 1 phone number in 2 days! I called T mobile and they played dumb and said they couldn't help me find out who it was. Then I read on several web sights that this one number belongs to T-mobile and it appears on the bill of several customers that also had NEVER had anything to do withtexting this number! IMAGINE BEING A MOTHER IN THIS DAY & AGE TRYING TO PROTECT YOUR 15 YR OLD DAUGHTER & THIS PHONE NUMBER POPS UP ON 9 PAGES IN 1-2 DAYS!!!
My phone went missing on 5/16 while I was on vacation and several text messages from this number showed up on my online My T-Mobile bill. I was upset so I called T-Mobile and had it turned off, and now I am without a phone for an undertermined amount of time because of the stupid insurance carrier Asurion. I have to get a police report done from the precinct where it went missing. It so stupid and its my only line. Its hard getting a police report over the phone from another state when you do not have a phone. I filed a complaint and now I am waiting for an answer.
I have a prepaid phone and never have told ANYONE the number as it's a number used for a community organization I'm a member of and we haven't released the # yet. No one has this number but me...and I recieved a text saying "cute_hotty/I got your number from a friend of mine, but I bet you can't guess who I am! My username's cute_hotty, if you " and it ended there shwig sender 5000 and this phone #. It's a ploy to use the text service...it's a Tracfone prepaid.
I just received one with the message center number of 206-313-0004 and it said it was from 5000 with the message reading : petite_brunette / Hey, I got your number from a friend of mine, but I bet you can't guess hwo I am! my username's petite_brunette, if you wanna come see if you recognize me online, at petite_brunette.love-list.org. Well, hope to see you soon!
I was travelling for the last 6 months outside of the US and periodically would see the 206-313-0004 with multiple $0.35 charges per month, between the texted phone numbers that I knew I sent. With further investigation, the explanation told to me from T-Mobile was that the 206-313-0004 is a "mask number" for the number that I was actually texting. For me, the text charges were correct because I was texting at those times even though the mask number showed up instead of the number that I was actually texting. It has something to do with the "SMC address". Check your sent text history and it should line up with times (accounting for time zones and message delay) that the 206-313-0004 texts were sent. One thing that still was not corrected was that I was double charged on a lot of texts that were sent only once!
I just noticed when looking at my bill online I have been charged for many text messages to this number I know that I did not send them as I know no one in this area. Makes me very upset as I have limited text messages and this waste them.
