Automated voice mail saying IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. The first of the message was hard to understand. Wanted me to call back. It must be a scam. The prefix can belong to any phone in the country and Worldwide Communications owns it as a land line located on some island off of Washington state. Worldwide has hundreds of other numbers. I used a reverse phone number site to look it up.
Caller said IRS has filed suite against me....or someone with my phone number. They did not call me by name and they did not identify who they were. But, they said it was urgent I called them back. Hope no one is stupid enough to actually call them back.
Just received this same call today. Recorded message claiming the IRS was filing suit against us. The IRS will not leave voice messages! They notify by mail.
Same message. Cut off in beginning and then the message said the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. Message did not specify actual person they were referring to.....
