Someone by the name of Paul Holden called my parents' phone number and left a message on their machine for me about "an important legal matter" and even left a case number. I do not give out my parents' phone number for any reason. One website indicated that this number is a marketing call and listed it as "terror". Also, when I looked up this Paul Holden I found that he was a plastic surgeon or an engineer.
If this was truly about a legal matter, I'm sure that they would not call my parents, but mail something to me. These scammers need to stop. It's ridiculous.
This is a debt collector out of Washington. They call using a variety of numbers and names. They'll say things like, "this is Clarence Daryl..." Best to just not answer and block the number. Read this:
