Not true, skeeter. You can sue for harrassment, however, since you work in the legal field I suppose you know that you have to go to the area the culprit is living in in order to bring about a lawsuit. As this stands, everybody would have to go to San Antonio, Texas to file a lawsuit, and then go back for whatever hearings, or call for production of documents, motions, certificates of service, etc., and file them personally (unless you can afford a lawyer in the vicinity.) Depends on where you live whether or not it would be beneficial to proceed with a lawsuit. This is obviously why many of these characters live so far away. They feel they are protected by distance because who has the time and the money in these tough economical times?
this number called my phone, i answered and there was no response. They hung up a second later, and when i called back a machine said it was not a worknig number.
received call from 210-241-2345. didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. tried to call the number back to be removed from whatever list I had made it on to. Message said the number was not a working number
This number has called me several times in the past week! The first time they did not leave a voicemail and I didn't answer. The second time they left a voicemail but said nothing. The past two times I have answered- one of the times they just hung up and the second time they laughed and it sounded like they were in a room of people and didn't mean to call anyone. I said "I'm sorry who is this?" And they hung up. WTF so annoying!!!!!!!!!!!
