Not true, skeeter. You can sue for harrassment, however, since you work in the legal field I suppose you know that you have to go to the area the culprit is living in in order to bring about a lawsuit. As this stands, everybody would have to go to San Antonio, Texas to file a lawsuit, and then go back for whatever hearings, or call for production of documents, motions, certificates of service, etc., and file them personally (unless you can afford a lawyer in the vicinity.) Depends on where you live whether or not it would be beneficial to proceed with a lawsuit. This is obviously why many of these characters live so far away. They feel they are protected by distance because who has the time and the money in these tough economical times?
