I received a call and the indian named "Tim Nelson" asked if I wanted to further my education. When I said no, he said no problem.
Then the WTF moment happened.
Tim: Can you do me a favor?
Me: Sure.
Time: I want to keep my job and for the screening will you spend two minutes on the phone with me and pretend you want to further your education and then I...
Me: Click
They will take the recorded call and will sell that info. [***].
my advice is, if they call back- particularly for education... go thru the process. get them to transfer you, where you can complain directly. these methods have helped slow down these crazy education calls. these are legit US companies looking for students to sell to the schools, but the call centers they hire are deceitful. believe or not, there are good call centers out there, but american companies looking to make a quick buck don't hire them -- because they are too expensive.
if you decide to 'act like you want education" just make up some fake information and when they transfer you, ask the agent on the other line to call you right back. they will and then you can report the call center company. if you do not ask them to call you back, the agent still retains control of the call and he's listening so when he hears you complain, he will disconnect the line. good luck and i hope the calls stop.
"The Indian" as in "the man from India" with an Anglosaxon (FAKE) name. It is not racist to use someone's nationality or color as a descriptive term. It is racist to discriminate or hate based on race alone. Please learn what a racist is before you call someone that.
