Received the same call which wanted my computer to be turned on. So I went along with the scam and then blasted a very fowl langauge assault.
The party hung up, they keep call 3 so far today. The priblem is, I don't have a house computer. :)
I have received 4 calls from this number today, with a caller ID of "Karl Mayer." Each time I answer, they hangup. (FYI: Apparently, Karl Mayer is a character on the TV show Desperate Housewives.)
Caller had an Indian accent and claimed we had met and asked if I had forgotten him when I said otherwise. Tried to convince me we had met. Nothing about Windows or Microsoft, though I have gotten those calls too, several times. This was creepy and unsettling. I have blocked the number.

INDIAN ACCENT identified himself as Microsoft Employee calling regarding my computer. I DEMANDED he remove my number from his call list. He refused. Multiple times... He said I will not. I told him I will be filing a complaint with the State of Missouri Attorney General's office immediately, He said Go Ahead and Call them....I am doing that right now
