Automated call regarding lowering credit card interest rates. I was not interested but wanted to find out who called and inform them that I was on the do not call list. I was told to press "9" so I did. When the live person came on the line and started asking me if I had $3000 or more in credit card bills, I started asking them some questions. She stated . When I started asking more questions they hung up.they were the Account Services with Visa/Master Card. When I started asking more questions they hung up. Just another annoying pushy telemarketer. I wish we could get them to follow the do not call proceedures.
This automated calling machine started with, "Hi I'm Rachael with Account Services...blah....blah....blah. Press 9 to lower your rates." I did. I asked who I was talking to and a young sounding girl told me they were account services with Visa and Master Card. I informed her that I had never heard of such a thing. I told her to remove me from the list. She got angry and mouthy and told me to listen to her if I wanted to be removed from the list.
If this was truly a legitimate call they would have told me exactly which card they were from so I told her to take me off the eFfing list ans she hung up.
The best thing to do is file a complaint about this activity with the FCC at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm The more of us that do the fewer telemarketers there will be placing unwanted calls.
Why are we receiving calls when we are on the do not call list? This worked so well for years and now the stupid calls have begun again. How can we make it stop?
