I received a call for the 3rd time from this number...first automated message asking if we are interested in lowering our monthly rates on credit cards, if so press 9 then a live person comes on....I have asked for my number to be taken off their calling list 3 times!! We are on a national do-not-call register, they hang up but calls still come through!
They'll NEVER stop calling. What they're doing isn't legal and the phone number they're calling from is BOGUS. They simply don't care.
If you do take them up on their offer to "lower your credit card rates", they'll just call your credit card company and ask them to lower your rates. YOU COULD DO THIS YOURSELF! Then they'll charge your credit card $1500 for having asked on your behalf. They may not get any lower rates for your card, but you'll still be on the hook for their fee.
This is a scam. If you REALLY want lower interest rates, just call your credit card company yourself. These people have no inside information on getting lower rates.
Anyone could set themsevles up in this "business". All you need is a phone with an autodialer and a MC/Visa/Discover merchant account.
My event with them is the same as j helton. I will be reporting them to the feds. That seems to be working great! I'm getting these calls with caller ID's showing Vermont, Washington, South Dakota and other states. But, I still report them.
Got a call from the same number. It came up unavailable (we get alot of these from legit friends) anyway. Pressed 9, got to a live person named Eric Mosley. I gave him more info than needed on closed accounts. I couldn't find some of the info he asked for to lower my interest rates so my husband asked if we could call him back. He said he is in a call center and does not have a dedicated line but will call back in an hour. I am very worried, I called the one card I spoke with him about. The account is closed and the credit card company suggested I contact the police. I am so screwed and scared, I gave him my last 4 social. Will post again if he calls back but what should I do?????
