called me saying that our dad was involved in a car accident where he crashed into his '87 chevy while driving on the panama highway and he was now held hostage at "hola spot post" in west mexico, and we needed 2 send a box with 99€ in it to teh base.
This guy call me saying that his cousin has my sister that she crash his bike and he was going to kill her if i dont pay a rescue.but he didnt know that my sis is out of the country.
This spanish speaking male called my husband and told him that his brother was in a car accident and that he had been hit with gun but my husband started asking question that he couldnt answer like what type of his borther was driving he said he was with a friend which we know is not possible so he hung up and called his brother right away and he was okay. seriously people have nothing better to do!!!
Grandparents, parents, friends, etc. Should ALWAYS have a secret word or phrase when you travel. Your dogs name is "Spot", tell the person on the phone "Your dog spike is worried about you". Also, be careful what information you put on facebook. That's where most of these scammers get their info.
This idiot called me saying that my brother had crashed his motorcycle and that him and his cousin had beat up my brother. He was requesting $1500 and to go to any Publix to drop off the money. He seems to be Puerto Rican by the way he spoke. I called my brothers while on the phone with him they were fine and then I called the cops while I put him on mute and the cops told me it was a scam and that I wasn't the first one today to be called. Douche get a life!
