I'm not sure which firm you're talking about but I am sorry to hear that you're out of work. I'm sure you'll find a better and more honest line of work soon. The 'jig' is not up in the Atl. metro area though. You'll be happy to hear that in the next few days a couple more shady firms will be getting un-welcome visitors bearing legal papers. Read the papers and be prepared to laugh...unless you work in the bogus debt collection business there. If that's the case well, what comes around goes around!
i recieved a call yesterday from a unknown caller ....they were calling for the person that owned the number before me....told me i had to call them back at 305-330-9311 to have my name taken off their list....company name was united legal center
number called me just like another number i received a call from 603-856-0338. these are scams ignore them, call the better business bureau as well as at least 3 major credit bureaus to flag your credit to keep people from viewing your credit affecting your score
I received a called from an unknown number that left a message for me to call 305-330-9311 with a reference # for a legal matter. When I called the person proceeded to tell me that I'd taken out a payday loan in March of 2010. The caller gave me the last 4 digits of my social, my bank routing number the first 6 digits of my account #, bank name, employer, and my address. You would almost think it were legitimate. As he was speaking several things didn't register however.....most importanly. I'D NEVER TAKEN OUT A LOAN. He told me the company was payday.com and represented 10 different payday loans and couldn't tell me which one. I logged onto my account as he was speaking and pulled up my statement for the month he said I'd gotten the loan. I proceeded to tell him that there was no deposit made for that entire year, further more my name and bank had recently changed so when he told me that when I'd applied they were listed as **** and Wells Fargo he was lying. He quickly told me he would forward this to the legal department and proceed with the suponea for court action. I told him to do whatever he felt necessary and I'd see him in the soooo called court. I knew when he asked for my FULL account # or debit card which he didn't have.
I called the number back and asked the young man what it was for. He was vague so I asked was this a scam as I am googling this number. He cursed me out and told me to 'get the hell off the phone.'
