I received 6 calls from this number claiming they are calling from a credit card company to lower my interest rate. I called my credit card company and was informed this is a scam.
I have also received at least 5 calls today from this phone number but when I called them back the number rings busy. they me back several times after I told them that they are scammers and hackers. The guy using "F" words. I told them that they just proofed that they are not from my credit card company because they will never use "f" words. I called my credit card company and confirmed that they are scammers.
I received 5 calls in a row. I picked the first call and declined his offer. I did not pick up calls 2, 3 or 4, my husband answered call 5, told him I had gone outside to work in the yard and asked if he could help him, the called said yes, tell your wife she can [***]. YES, truly, he really said that and hung up. I too called my credit card company. I have called the better buisness bureau, twice with no success.
305-368-8803 (possibly spoofed) belongs to likely credit card thieves and identity thieves, who represent themselves as "Cardmember services" or "cardholder services." I got a live call from one of them today, who claimed to have spoken to me before about lowering my interest rates.
NEVER give these people any genuine credit card or personally identifying information, because they are running a scam (and breaking the law every time they call a number on the Do Not Call list). If you ask them for a number where you can call them back, they will NEVER give you a valid one because they are probably criminals who do not want to be located. They will either hang up immediately, or else give you a number that belongs to a bank with which they have no association whatsoever.
