Just got a call from this number. He claims to be an officer in Florida by the name of Jim Foster. He claims I owe 860 on a 300 loan. I told him I would only pay this amount to the agency I borrowed it from. Then he tells me he can work with me and make an arrangement after he talks to the senior Attorneys. I need to pay 460 by 5pm today. He would not give me the name of the agency he was with in Florida. This sounds like a rip off. He also said this was his direct number (305) 395- 3409.
I received a call from this gentleman at work. His name however, was Jim Foster badge #308. He had a very strong Eastern India accent, named Jim? I was having trouble understanding him. I was asking him to repeat himself on several occasions and he barked at me "DO NOT INTERRUPT ME". I told him I was having trouble understanding him and to send me the information in writing. He said I will get nothing in writing because he is not my servant and he does not have to send me anything in writing. He said he will contact the V.P. of my company and proceed with legal matters. He eventually hung up on me because I asked for something in the mail and told him I had no clue what he was talking about.
My company received a voicemail on June 18, 2008 that was very difficult to understand because the man had such a strong accent. After reviewing the voicemail several times to get the phone number, I returned the call. He answered the phone “hello” as if it was a personal phone call and not a place of business. When I asked who I was speaking with, he avoided my question and asked who I was. I told him my name and then asked again who I was speaking with because I received a voicemail and I could not understand his name. He still avoided my question again and asked what company I was with and asked if we had an employee by a certain name that is currently employed. When I told him we did have an employee by the name he provided, he told me that she was being investigated by the United Investigation Department of Law for internet banking fraud. I would not provide him with anymore information. He even gave me a case number for this employee. I transferred the man to another person in my department and he told her that if the employee did not return his phone call by a certain time that the police would be after the employee to arrest her. He also wanted to know the VP of our company, which we did not provide any names. He was instructed to send us the information in writing before anything would be done and he stated that he just wanted our cooperation with this matter and to give the employee this information. We forwarded the voicemail to our security department to further investigate. We did eventually understand his name and he went by Jim Foster.
I received a call today from a Patrick Wilson, same strong accent. He also called my sister to tell her I was going to be arrested. I have saved the recording but the phone number was from 832-226-0545
