It was an automated female robotic message (think first version of Siri) saying this was the final warning from the IRS about their lawsuit against me. Then to call 313-327-3030 for more information.
The IRS will communicate with you via mail first to have paper trail/proof of notice before this crap. It's a scam, but PLEASE report this to federal authorities.
I got the same voicemail today. I called the 939 number of my caller id back and got a recording that my prepaid caller account balance was zero. Yeah. That TOTALLY sounds legitimate. When I tried calling the 313 number, it rang and then went to busy. No. That's not suspicious either. :P
This number did the robo IRS scam. It to originate from a 931-561-3631 number which is supposedly in Tennessee. The stated name of the robo caller was Patti Yates.
