It's a scam. They have been calling off and on for about a year. Different phone numbers, different people who call, but it's always the same message. I block the numbers once I get a new one.
The one today said it was an attorney but didn't give me his name. They make it sound official so they scare you into paying. But don't give any information or verify any information over the phone. I believe if it is legitimate they would send me something to my home address. I've lived at the same address for 20 years so it shouldn't be hard to contact me if they are legit.
Got two robo calls from them recently, asking for a bogus name and threatening him or her with a lawsuit. When I clicked 0, the recording asked me to leave my name and social security number. Yeah right. Complete and utter [***].
Same thing saying that two charges are being filed against me and fraudulent activity against my name and san. They did not even say my name or anyone else's in the recording. I've reported them once but it doesn't seem to stop the harassment. I had my fiancee record my vm greeting , the message received was not automated. If they were coming after a female then they wouldn't have left a message! Total scam
These people have called my cell phone numberous times first they used my maiden name said if I didn't call today they would serve fraudulent papers to my home or place of business always threatening now today they are starting to use both my maiden name and my married name together I have since blocked the callers and looked up the number I have received no notices at my door or place of business which is a hospital since I work as a nurse total fraud if I were to be served any papers and they threaten all the time as long as I don't get anything in writing I'm not paying them anything
we will really never know if this company is legit. I do know that if you are going to court for something and they are stating court papers. generally they dont have to sent validation of debt without when its out of collection and is about to be filed. so apparently they are not collectors if they are letting you know abot you problems going to court. i just think you guys are professional debotrs. i use to work in a real collection office only people who dont pay bills like they are suppose to. they go on the web and do this. i suggest you keep a track of your bills and because i didnt pay my light bill for 5 yrs the bill was in y husbands name . i still owed. i remembered that bill i didnt need validation b/c i owed it. you guys are professional... seriously.
