Do your part to stop them running us over. If you get an unwanted solicitation and are on the do-not-call list, goto Federal trade commissions website and report the number. That's how it was designed.
I also reply to the number that their number has been reported to the federal Trade Commission.
Do your part..I will make you feel good!
I got a call from this number ,also . I am on the Do Not Call List , but it has not helped at all . I am beginning to think that list was just a way to get everyone's number.
I received another call from 314-515-6122. This is a valid Edward Jones call.
I am not a customer of theirs, however, I did attend a Women's Conference, and there was an Edward Jones representative there who was having a drawing for a $100 Visa Gift card. I filled out her drawing slip, and of course I had to give a phone number so she could call if I won.
For the first time in my 54 years on this earth, I DID win!
Now, once a month or so, I get a call from her from this number. I do happen to work just down the street from where she is when she calls, and the message she leaves explains that I can call her back at her office number, and she leaves it.
So while I am on the DNC list, I truly DID give this woman my phone number. And I am guessing that most of the people that are being called have also done that. They may not have realized that when they entered a drawing it would be used for sales purposes by the Edw. Jones rep, but it is a valid, legal way to collect contact info.
All it takes is a call to the person to say, Hey, I don't intend to invest with you, please don't call anymore.
I am sure that they would respect the request, because they probably want to use their time contacting people who will generate business, not those of us who won't.
Now, I don't work for Edw Jones, I am not in the financial services industry and I will be calling her to tell her I won't be investing, I just have not done it yet.
THis isn't a scam or a spam call. It is a legitmate call from a sales person.
