got unsolicited call from several numbers, with different area codes, all from the same company claiming it is in response to my email ... i never sent them an email. i've never even heard of them.
You, or someone using your number, probably put in an on-line application to get quotes to transport their car. I did a few days ago and not one quote, but 17 brokers were texting, calling me, emailing me. I picked a carrier, but days later I am still getting about 30 diff communications a day - very competitive industry.
They'll figure you got the car covered in a week or so I'd imagine, my calls are dropping off already.
Next time, I'll just look at http://www.transportreviews.com/ and call them directly, the quote thing gives my personal info out to dozens of companies who are very aggressive about contact.
You might ask around if someone at work just moved a car.... that's how your number got out there!
I got an auto transport quote over a month ago, and this place is still calling me. I've pressed 8 to be removed from their call list, and I called them directly and told them to remove me from their call list; they won't stop calling me.
