323-489-7472 keeps calling me. Almost daily. Never anyone there to ask not to call back at the other end and they never leave a message. I am fed up with it!
Calls offering to help people with their computers. Have also had them tell us they are Microsoft. Have asked repeatedly to be removed from their list. They ignore this and just hang up on you if you don't let them run through their script (if that's what they do).
have received may calls during the past month. Some are disconnected shortly after I answered others such as the one Tues. was a man claiming to be with Micro Soft and was "wanting to help me with my Windows Problem." I asked to be taken off of their calling list and his reply was 'What the f***." I was so shocked but he continued to day he was angry because he called to help me with my Windows and I told him before he was even done to take me off the list. He was VERY upset. I pretended to have a problem understanding him with him having a foreign accent, after telling him I was having difficulty understanding him, he said you can understand f****** fine and told be to f*** off 3 different times during which I was asking to be transferred to a supervisor. He finally hung up on me. I have received 3 calls since where they just hang up when I answer. How do I stop these calls?
I, too, have been repeatedly called by this number and the two times I've answered they claim to be with Microsoft and they are calling to let me know my computer is infected. I asked how he has access to my new laptop that has anti-virus / anti-spam / anti-malware and is on a secure network "Peter" (obviously his call center name) in a heavy Indian accent (I have worked in IT and managed offshore resources so I can understand most of them) demanded that I listen to him. He actually said yelled at me saying I need to listen to him right now. Before he could tell me why, I interrupted him and said, NO I don't have to listen to you....call me again and I'm reporting you to the Federal Communications Commission and hung up. I googled this number to see if anyone else experienced the same. Now that I see there have been multiple posts about this, I will be filing a formal complaint with the FCC.
As a matter of follow-up I did just formally submit a complaint to the FCC. To do the same visit their website ( you can find it by googling Federal Communications Commission. On the right hand side of their home page about half way down is a link to "file a consumer complaint." Be prepared to provide date / time of the call(s) and details about your interaction(s).
