A scammer is always a scammer. I was a subscriber to AAAS but did not renew the subscription. I have an MSEE degree and there was too much info outside my field of interest. As far as I am aware AAAS does not engage in charity solicitations or robo call harassment and is most definitely not a charity. I strongly suspect someone stole the AAAS subscriber list and these calls are a complete SCAM!!! They just want your credit card number and personal information!!!
AAAS is a great organization, but I likewise suspect these calls are a charity scam. This is especially true since this caller number has represented themselves as a number of other charities. CID has also used a number of different names.
Yes, multiple charities, different names, never ending charity calls. Because they use predatory fundraisers who fail to identify themselves. (AAAS) American Association for the Advancement of Science is the charity see https://www.sos.wa.gov/charities/search-app.aspx#/detail-charity/148 using California fundraiser "Donor Services Group, LLC " calling on behalf of about 50 charities see https://www.sos.wa.gov/charities/search-app.aspx#/detail-cfr/443 A California charity search adds fundraisers "ComNet Marketing Group, Inc" see http://www.bloomberg.com/Research/stocks/priv ... vcapid=45273975 and "Concord Litho Group, Inc" see http://www.bloomberg.com/research/stocks/priv ... ivcapId=4323678
You have the right under the FTC'TSR to demand placement on their internal do not call lists!
