One more time .... The DNCR is funded by access fees collected from legally compliant telemarketers. The public is not expected to absorb the cost of self-policing by their industry. If you want to drive up the cost of bad business, stop dwelling on how you think "da gubment" has failed you and help undermanned regulators do their jobs. Warn the vulnerable about fraud, report lawbreakers, and sue the companies which deny your rights.
I did not answer the call from UNKNOWN but there was a phone number. I see from other posts it is the "medical alert" robocall. They have called at least once a week for months.
Received call. No message left. Caller ID started with a V and was followed with a string of numbers. Typical scam call. Going on my call blocker.
To all of the people who said they were on the DNC list and still got calls or they were reporting the call to the DNC. Stop wasting your time. The DNC is the biggest scam and waste of tax payer money. Do yourself a favor and get a call blocker. To the others who are bothered by these type of calls, take the same advice.
Most offer a 1 or 2 button push to block callers. Many will let you get some sleep and/or not be disturbed, by blocking the phone ringing. You can block whole area codes and those numbers with an anonymous or no caller ID. There are phones which have the ability to block hundreds of these calls and also stand alone units which can block thousands of numbers. It will be the best investment you will ever make..
