I also received this call. I called them back, left vm. They called me back, and left no details in vm other than the account number again. I called them back immediately after receiving the vm and got their vm. I did not leave another message. I think this is some kind of scam.
It's the attorney general's collections office. It's a direct line to Cindy Martz who is the AG's collection agent. Call the AG's 800 number and you'll be routed to her as well.
I received a phone call to my cell phone from telephone number (330) 884-6091 and a related voicemail from a woman who claimed to be from the Attorney General's Office. The voicemail was as follows: "Hello, this message is for _________. This is Cindy calling with the Ohio Attorney General's office. If you could please return the call at (330) 884-6091 and the account number is 9203313..." The message ended there. I fear that this may be a scam. I'm not sure how many people have been contacted or if any personally identifying details were asked/granted, I urge people to NOT give any personal information over the phone. I neither called nor spoke with the caller. The Attorney General's office is in Columbus and this is an Akron/Canton/Youngstown/Warren area code.
