No voicemail left. Caller ID says EAST WEYMOUT MA, and Weymouth is nowhere near the towns listed at the top of the page (Lynn, Malden, Medford). It all adds up to "scam"!
Getting SO SICK of this, my new tactic is to pick up at the second or third ring of these 'new' numbers - if I can get to it on time to beat the ans. machine - and just sit and listen, not say a word. As is usually the case, it was just 'dead air' and it sat there for about 20 seconds before it disconnected. No one came on the line. Hopefully this will 'confuse' the robodialer since it doesn not get either an answering machine outgoing message nor a person saying 'Hello?' Can only hope, since even BLOCKING these calls does not seem to work; got my TENTH (10!) call from 508-227-4856 this morning; yet another "SOLAR PANELS" SCAM call. Suspect that is what THIS one is, too. We are fast approaching 450 of these - JUST the SOLAR/Swtich Electric Scams - since February 2015. (NOT counting all the OTHER scams that are out there, and all the calls we've gotten from those.)
According to MrNumber.com this is AN INVALID # that DOES NOT EVEN EXIST in real life AND it has a 97% SPAM score. (Its really hard to get a score that high on Mr. Number!) This is the "SWITCH YOUR ELECTRIC PROVIDER" SCAM call.
