Just received a call from 347-318-1979 saying I had a virus infecting my computer and was I on the computer right now. If they supposedly know I have a virus on my computer why did they not know I was on the computer at the time. Gives reason to go hmmmm........
Everything I said echoed back to me and she was very difficult to understand, East Indian accent for sure. I told them it was BS and hung up.
Sometimes going back to the old fashioned way of doing things seems so much safer than having to be a step ahead of these hackers all the time to protect what you work hard for.
It's about time they led a productive life and contribute to society. Sick of all the BS.
This is such a tired scam...been going on for years. Really, can there be even one person out there who hasn't heard about this scam? And who would be naive enough to think the Microsoft keeps a record of customers who purchased their software? And how would Microsoft get your phone number from some transaction in a computer shop? And how did Microsoft screw up and put Mac users on its list?
Oh I know...those little wires in the computer are somehow connected to every other computer and allow them to see into your home/office and know what you are doing and that there is some bug in your computer. Yeah sure. Hopefully our youth will be smarter about all of this so this scam will die out.
BTW I never even answered this phone call and so the call got 'forwarded' to my mythical fax machine and the caller got a fax sound. This usually means they never will call back.
