I received call from an officer claiming for the IRS Investigation Department Mike Anderson and Eric. They had explained that I committed fraud on my tax return and that they were going to freeze my bank accounts. They wanted me to go to my bank and get some type of voucher to show that I was willing to make some sort of restitution. I told them to call back and found it was scam.

I told them that I thought this was a scam and they hung up.
My daughter who is a minor was left a voice mail on her cell phone. It was a Mr. Mike Rogers from the IRS. He said he was an investigator and that a tax fraud was being place on me and my husband. To call him back before is goes to the courts. I did not call back. I had a feeling it was a scam, so I google the phone number and saw all the comments about it being a scam. I filed a complaint at the IRS website.

Called from 571-210-5556 and stated in a heavy accent that he was Officer Robin Williams with the Legal Investigation Department of the IRS. Stated a legal petition against me was about to be filed in the Federal Crime Courthouse and to call before it was filed. Not only did they not call me on my phone, but they called a minor child and left a message on her phone. We don't answer unknown calls. Watch out! Scammer!!!!!

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
