The caller knew my name and identified himself as representing senior something (Latino and hard to understand). As soon as I challenged him on the name of the company, he hung up.
Get a call blocking device. I use a T-Lock that I got on Amazon. I block all unfamiliar calls that don't leave a message. Also Verizon has a built in blocker for cell phones.
Just received a call from this number. I pay for an unlisted number plus I am on the do not call list and these low life people keep calling. I didn't answer, but will block them too. Every day I get an unwanted phone call from companies.
The call I received about half an hour ago today was from Centreville VA, and there was a recording of a female voice, where the recording must have started as soon as the answering machine picked-up instead of the usual waiting until the prompting tone, because the recording was on its last three words by the time the machine's greeting-message--; which is all the machine plays from its external loudspeaker, while that message is simultaneously played over the phone to the caller--; had ended. I was unable to glean anything about what the message would have been about.
Same as "Danny" above, their recorded message started the same time as answering machine message. Only part understood was "as seen on TV". Caller ID "Centerville VA" Just another scam.
