called me again today- june 11, 2012. It is the same company that called me from another similar number 571-392-3716. Again it did not register on the called ID. I got it by call blocking it. It is Medical Services, sales call. This time they did not even speak, I recognized the number was similar to the call from the other number. I called them back and got a recording saying number is not is service too. WTF is the DNC list for if they can't enforce it. Sick of paying for calls I do not want. I never buy over the phone. Gonna call the phone company and see what can be done, if anything. Will update if I find out.
This was a telemarketer claiming to be my computer tech support person, then he asked me to go ahead and turn on my computer. At that time I told him no way and hung up. If I was a half-wit I am sure he could have gotten in through some type of virtual assist.
Thanks for the above info. I too, did not answer it, but called it back and got the response that it is not a working number. Definitely a scam number huh.
they said they are from california 571 is a va number. they say they are laywers trying to reimburse me for medical pain and suffering. they all all have really bad accents with the names of something like alice smith...right....
