This company Maritz Research, called, and said they were calling on behalf of Bank of America, and I told them if Bank of America had any questions they should call me directly, I do not speak with 3rd party callers.. and I am writing a letter to Bank of America, and suggesting if they want to do a survey of their services, they should do it themselves.. I know their customer service agents are recorded, so they can critique them that way, they do not need to hire 3rd parties, and I am upset to know they may have given my phone number to someone I do not know.. no wonder there is so much identify theft around if the banks give or sell your information.. guess they need extra cash to compensate for the mess they have created on Wall Street.
This number was trying to find out how a recent visit to a Bank of America went. They knew I onced banked in a certain state but I did not tell them the real state I used to complete a transaction.
Annoying repeated calls after caller was informed that I was on the Do Not Call List. Very nasty person insisting I had to take the call. I called the 800 # mentioned above to be delisted - let's see what transpires.
BE CAREFUL with these people. Also, be cautious of any suspicious emails, text messages or voicemails you get regarding your bank accounts. Most major banks will not contact you or ask you for your person information on the phone. These people are fishing for information and please, don't fall for it. They claimed that they were from my bank and I immediately hung up and walked in my bank to ask what was going on. My bank told me that it was a scam.
I blow my whistle in the phone when they call in hopes that they get the message. I am down to one call a day vs ten calls a day.
