LOL I now let the answering machine pick up all unknown calls. I have ring tones for the ones that call me all the time.
This guy started talking over my message when he realized it was a machine and hung up!!

We'll be bombarded for the next two years. Evidently the do not call list is not honored as the rest of the laws in our country are not being honored.
When I don't know anyone in the callers area/town, etc. I press ON and at the same time press OFF. Hopefully "they" may think it's an inactive number. So far it's worked.
Getting hang ups and actual people from two different numbers but same company, "Republican National Committee". We have only had this number for two months and are being haunted by these people. They are asking for the former "owners" of our number, who we happen to know. We tell the caller, the person they calling for, is no longer "attached" to the number and of course, we know, they don't care. Have asked repeatedly for them to take the number off the calling list, called the number to have our number taken off the list, but are told it will take up to 30 days!
We have no recourse and we are at the mercy of these unending, pain in the [***] calls!
