Installed a call blocker (about $40, easy inline installation) earlier this year. Calls like this one have their numbers recorded but don't ring through. Over 400 numbers have been permanently blocked to date, the peace of mind from not being disturbed by telemarketers made the initial investment well worthwhile.
Thank you all for posting so that we are aware of who calls us. The above number and 5712106558 plus 5719166077 are all the same scam. Seems the 517 area is where the Rep. Party is calling from. That is what I gather from my notes.
This is another fake political call from a scammer phishing for your information and money. The NRSC or National Republican Senatorial Committee is not located in Virginia. What this call is a scammer using politics as a hook. Its just like some of them that use cancer as a hook. Anyone who goes to this much trouble to hide their identity and location is a scammer plain and simple. Don't assume their id and intentions. These people are very organized and have high tech devices to protect themselves from being detected. So just block them and report them so there is a record of this numbers usage.
Received a call today and did not answer. The second time I got the call U answered. A voice said it was Carl Buxton, just a minute please, and then hung up.
