I am amazed that you would type anything in your computer that someone tells you to do over the phone. If you need tech support you call Microsoft. Not the other way around. I'm not even sure I would call them either. If having problems like you describe with a computer I do a restore system and either restore it to original factory settings or have it go back to an earlier system back-up to restore the computer to that point. I would never do anything on my computer some one tells me over the phone or in an email or any of the instant live messaging . That is how hackers get into your system and steal your information. I'm fairly lucky in that I don't have any real resources so hackers and thieves pretty much leave me alone.
Getting calls day and night with no message and no voice. Seems to be listed as a telemarketer, but no voice! Since the call comes from Virginia and I'm in Texas, I can't imagine it's a prank call, but I'm at a loss to explain it.
Criminal of some sort.......asking to go into my computer saying that he will stop identity theft. Refused to give full name, became upset when I asked him questions. Middle Eastern Accent.
