Received call today from this number. I had to say hello three times then finally an aggressive-sounding deep male voice asked for me by first name. I asked another three times who was calling and he said some police fund and then proceeded to go into a spiel about the phone conversation being recorded. I told him I was glad it was being recorded so I could loudly say to him, " THIS CALL AND YOUR ORGANIZATION ARE BOGUS! DON'T CALL AGAIN!" Then I hung up. These cretins crawl out from under their rocks just long enough to make their phone call quotas.
We never answer number we don't recognize but from what I have read here its s "Firemen's Association". Years ago I did speak to them(before having caller ID) and quickly figured out it was some sort of a scam I told them I only donate to my local fire guys and they hung up on me. You might get something similar from a police organization, like the Chiefs of Police of your state. Hang up or just don't answer. I will tell you we also (sick of the ringing) answer then hang right up. Tired of all these idiots.
