Received call today from this number. I had to say hello three times then finally an aggressive-sounding deep male voice asked for me by first name. I asked another three times who was calling and he said some police fund and then proceeded to go into a spiel about the phone conversation being recorded. I told him I was glad it was being recorded so I could loudly say to him, " THIS CALL AND YOUR ORGANIZATION ARE BOGUS! DON'T CALL AGAIN!" Then I hung up. These cretins crawl out from under their rocks just long enough to make their phone call quotas.
These jerks have called twice more since I posted here on October 7th. Still says LOCAL AREA CALL in caller id. Pennsylvania is not Massachusetts last time I looked.
My phone number is unlisted & unpublished & these jokers just call at super time & I don't answer. It's continuous. When I want to donate to a non-profit org. I'll do it as I choose not from any telephone call.
We got a call again yesterday from this number at 6:32 pm. It was the third time in about a month. Although I blocked it after the first time, I mistakenly picked up on the first ring because I thought it was my brother calling. The man asked for me by name. Since my number is non published, I'd like to know how he got my name. I must remember to wait for a second ring before answering any calls, because our call blocker lets the phone ring once before blocking.
I know that charities are exempt from the DNC list, but since my phone number is non published, how did the caller know my name? They called again today, and the caller ID was LOCAL AREA, which is false because our area code is 781. I don't waste time speaking with dishonest people.
