Received a call from this number just now. He said, he was calling from RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) and he is having warrant on me.
Please forward this to any concerned persons, to take action on them and avoid un necessary tension to public.
Update: Turns out that scammers called my parent's home number first, then my Mom's cell before trying to contact me. This man, identified himself from immigration. (According to my parents, his English did not have a foreign accent but spoke slowly.)
He sought out DOB information of the household members. Dad, believing the call, disclosed my Mom and my cell number.
She received and answered the call from 613-993-7267. The man said he was calling from "American Immigration" and was restating and confirming personal data that was recently collected. The man then tried to fish information about my place of birth (thankfully my Mom knew not to give/ confirm further information).
A guy with an Indian accent called this morning to speak to my husband, he said he is from RCMP calling regarding me. I told him that he is a con artist and will report him to the cops and he hung up.
