Received a call from this number just now. He said, he was calling from RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) and he is having warrant on me.
Please forward this to any concerned persons, to take action on them and avoid un necessary tension to public.
I received 3 phone calls from a man claiming that he is from immigration department. He had Indian accent and told me that they have a fraud complain from my country of origin. I asked him to send any claim by mail if he has my address. He insisted that no mail can be sent so after hanging up the first 2 times, I asked him to send the RCMP to arrest me...:)
Feb 22 around 4:55 pm me and my husband got a call to this number also 613-993-7267 saying calling from canada imigration and they filed against us about our imigration status. I was shock and worried cause we never recieved anything from governtment or imigration if we have problem in our status here. I just cant believed that some people can do that to us. almost 1 hour we talked cause he was trying to get all my information and opinion from me. there"S MONEY INVOLVED so when i hear that i told him that i cant make decision now and i need to call them back and if i cant get his name . that time he was mad and hang up. Just saying here that this big Fraud and scam so Pls dont believe someone rightaway . call imigration or any government institution invoved to make sure its everything right. Thats what i did .
Received a call at 10:30 this morning. A man with an Indian accent claimed to be Gary Hall from CIC (Canadian Immigration) and told me that a complaint had been lodged against my name. I played along and when he asked where I had been born in I replied Canada. Not what he expected to hear.
I wonder if the CIC is aware that someone is using their name to frighten and extort Canadian Immigrants.
Just got a call from a guy with a heavy Indian accent claiming his name was Paul Smith. He even gave me a case number. He said a Mr. () had a arrest warrant on him and he was facing deportation from the CIC. I asked him who he was calling and told him there is two mr () at this house. He told me that the person that owns this number and house is the offender. So I asked him what this persons name was and he gave me part of my mothers name. So I told him that this person they are looking for is a woman not a man. I asked them to give me the full name of the person they are looking for. They hung after that. These scammers are so annoying. If they really wanted to scam someone, at least have the liberty of using someone that I could understand. This guy was barely audible. Such idiots. I googled them when they hung up. I will not answer such stupid calls again.
