Let me tell you all this. I have Verizon. I found an $11.00 charge on my bill for a call to Canada from one of my lines that has international called block. So how did the call get on one of my verizon wireless lines if the line is NOT allowed to call international? Who has been hacked?
I found not open my safari because it was saying that I need to call immediately that number. When I called, they told me that I had a virus and that I need to protect my computer. I got distracted and let them log in to my computer by c4s.
They tried to sell me software which costs 140$. I told them that I want to stop the thing as I cannot provide that..and then they asked : "how much are you willing to pay" and that was when they proved that they are just spamming because that is not common at all for a software company to ask you how much you are willing to pay so that you can do the purchase.
I just hope that they have not gotten any sensitive information such as passwords and debit cards.. I hope that was "all" what they were trying to do.
Anyone getting that thing from safari just force quite..don't call the fu**ing number
that happend to me as well with safari, I called the number and ask if they were working with apple and they did not give me a straight answer I hope they didnt get also information from my computer and I wonder how can they do this through safari?
I got the same error.i called the number they asked me to share my screen with them.i am so happy i didnt do that. They were trying to access my computer.
