Claims to be contractor "finishing a project in your area," looking for more work. Very rude when I asked not to be called. One of several unsolicited calls (different numbers, but the exact same story) I've had recently, clearly a scam of some sort.
Called two days ago. Claimed to be on Angie's List. Contractor doing house projects in my home town. I asked where they got my number since I am on do not call list. Response was "I'm just doing my job." Today same lady called ... Margaret .... same spiel. I asked where she got my number. Her response : "On a bathroom wall" and she hung up on me. Talk about Junior High mentality.
This is part of the infamous "contractor scam." Don't talk to these people. Just hang up and block the number. Here's the BBB's warning about this scam.
