Claims to be contractor "finishing a project in your area," looking for more work. Very rude when I asked not to be called. One of several unsolicited calls (different numbers, but the exact same story) I've had recently, clearly a scam of some sort.
Neither the FCC nor the FTC nor the CA Public Utilities Commission...ALL of which have regulations against these calls...are willing to do anything about them.
Received call from this number at 5:29pm. Guy was totally rude beyond belief & then had the audacity to ask if I was interested in his home improvement service. I asked for my number to be taken off his list as he said "No! No!" and I hung up. He promptly called back and I handed the phone to my fiancé, whom the guy informed he has added my number to their 2:00am automatic call list.
I received the same call asking about a contractor in my area doing estimates for upgrades and remodels. I get lots of these. If they happen to know my name, I tell them I'm interested, but my name is (insert name here), but I am verey interested in an estimate for a new kitchen. Then they ask me for my address, and I give them the address for the Police station in my town. It makes me smile, even if they don't fall for it.
