Caller falsely stated they were with my insurance company, i called my company, they have no affiliation, i asked for a supervisor, and was hung up on, could barely understand caller thru their very very thick accent. Very unhappy.
I've had some financial set-backs these past few years - and I'm not ashamed of them. I am in real estate and I never handled mortgages. The housing "bubble" took me by surprise, but I was too busy to wonder much about why there was suddenly so much business. Since 2007 I have had plenty of down time to learn all about the deceitful mortgages, the bundling of bad mortgages to be sold on Wall Street and so on and so forth.
Anyway, for the past year I have been getting phone calls from all sorts of [***] and idiots. This number turned up on my cell phone today. I only have legitimate contacts in 3 states, so if I don't recognize the area code I do not answer the call. This afternoon this number appeared on my phone. Rather than answering it, I googled it and here we are.
I have signed up on several do not call lists but it seems no one gives a crap. Well, we all have to cope with [***] and this is my cross to bare... and really, a couple of minutes a day of unwanted phone calls is not that terrible....
I just received a call from this number, which is from the San Diego area, where my Geico agent office is located. I will not answer any thing to the caller with East Indian accent. The possible scenario could be that these guys got hold of the Geico customer file. or worse, Geico agent sold the list.
Calls every day! Caller said he was from Auto Care? I told him if he called again, I would report this number to the New York Attorney General's office. The Do Not Call list seems to be worthless. Averaging 5 telemarketing calls per day. Probably will discontinue the landline.
