They don't seem to get tired if no one answers, since I've never answered the 8 or 10 times they called. Thanks to this website, I have now BLOCKED the number!
That works, too, it doesn't happen overnight, you have to be patient. Persistent callers are better to block, or possibly disconnecting your phone if it's a landline. Again, consider a call blocker.
I screen all my calls with a combo Caller ID and answering machine. If they block their Caller ID, I don't pick up; and my recorded message tells them this! This caller never says a word. They never leave a message. Next time I can afford one of the throw-away VISA cards, I will attempt to discover the true identity of this creep, and I WILL share it with the rest of you here! If any of you want to beat me to this, PeopleSmart.com is the BEST. I use them a lot! Friendly Safety Hint: NEVER use your real bank card or credit card on the Internet. If a thief ever gets the number for your throw away VISA card, they will ONLY be able to spend the balance on the card, and will not have ANY of your personal financial information.
