This appears to be a phishing scam. The pre-recorded message stated that I should call them because of my recent credit card activity I could qualify for interest rates as low as 2%, but they didn't identify themselves nor did they verify who I was or my bank information.
I also had a prerecorded message exactly the same as what Fred said earlier. The voice said it was Beth from the underwriting department from card member services.
Lady with a forign accent, called to report that my computer was being invaded by a trojan virus at this minute, and I should give her the Id number or serial number of my computer , and she wanted full acdess to the computer. I figured this was a scam so I told them I would contact my repair co and have them look into it, they wanted to know who was my comp[any and how much I pay each month for that servose, I asvised them that was none of their business and they got mad and hung up on me
