Well, I must be lucky because I got the call three times. Called back and "the caller was unable to take messages at this time." Does that mean that have shut this down?
Please report this to the federal trade commision, http://www.ftc.gov/
Once you are in this website, click the blue box, consumer complaint, also if your phone is in the do not call list, report them to the National do not call registry (olive box).
This person called me twice today claiming to be Steve Martin from US Treasury Department. He said he will prosecute me for a federal criminal offense. I know immediately this was a scam, since I also got a message before from the US IRS that I own taxes which was also a scam. You need to report these to the federal trade commission. If there are a lot of people reporting this, they will take action.
I reported this to the federal trade commission online and then called them.
He called me twice and left messages. I called him back to tell him that I knew he was a scammer and I was going to find a way to find him and he told me that I would never find him and then just kept repeating the word [***] over and over.
