Call Id said from NY.

I NEVER answer any number I don't recognize due to the amount of horrible scams out there.
If it's a friend or loved one, they can leave a msg and I'll get right back
NEVER call these spoof numbers back. It only confirms your number is valid. They are not going to take your # off the call list. They call thousands of people a day that are on the do not call list. They just want to rob your credit card account. They are criminals. Criminals do not obey laws.
Called while I was asleep and did not leave a message. I wouldn't have answered anyway. I have seen a pattern of the same cities showing up on these spoof calls. New York is one of the most common. All you can do is buy a phone that blocks calls. It will cut them off at least until they spoof a new number. These call centers can be anywhere in the world and show up as an American city. They can spoof your area code and even use your own number. One call I keep getting the ID says "US Govt" with my area code. Government departments never call you. They will contact you by mail.
