Came through cid as Lower rate,,, BUT, I have been receiving harrassing calls from Portfolio Recovery / Capital One for a 10 year + write off and have suddenly received several unsolicited calls like this... which I understand fit their MO..
Just received call from 718-439-6785 with the same recorded message others have reported here, about lowering interest
on my credit card. I don't have any balances on credit-cards. Don't know how they got my cell phone#. Not many people have my cell number and usually don't get these calls.
WARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are B I G credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever!
Obviously another attempt to scam you. I asked why the caller ID says TEACHER'S PHONE - response, "huh?" Not sure they were still there when I said "you're a facking IDIOT", but made me feel better - I know there's NOTHING you can do about it EXCEPT add them to my CALL BLOCK machine, after which, it hangs up from that number immediately, but they simply change numbers and Call ID becomes something else.
Received a call from this number -- no answer and I immediately hung up. I'm sure they're scammers since I don't know anybody in "Brooklyn, NY." Incredibly annoying!
Just received on cell phone. I did not answer as I don't answer unknown numbers. Immediately blocked. Then came to this website to confirm a scammer call.
