Just got a call from this number 718-588-6595 and caller id comes up as Gladys Tolentino. It was a man with a heavy accent saying my computer was accessed by a hacker. I knew it was complete bs so I called him some few choice names and he shouted back at me saying I should never speak to him like that. I called him a mother f'ing piece of [***]. ohhhhh was he mad!
Guy with strong Asian accent called me twice saying that he is calling because he is getting notice there is a technical problem with my Windows. He knew my name. To my knowledge only Magic Jack has that information.
Mel, I know these criminals can make you mad. However, don't answer your telephone or have a confrontation with these idiots because this will make them angry and they will call you numerous times and very late at night to harass you. I've been told my local police department and the FBI, the criminals are calling from India and other foreign countries and there's not much the U.S. can do. However, contact your Senator and Congressperson to complain about these 'SPOOFED' calls asking them to support the legislation pending in Congress and the Senate. These criminals are using someone name Gladys Tolentino's number to spoof their calls. You can also contact the Federal Trade Commission to file a complaint.
