Spoof phone mail. Listen, if you answer this, do not say YES! TV says there is a scam out there and they try to get you to answer yes. They then record your voice and can use it to charge things against your charge cards, etc, because they have you on tape saying yes. I don't answer any of these calls and I have too many now to block. Don't answer if you don't know who they are. If someone really needs to contact you, they will leave you a message.
Indian scammer that called me last week. After I told him don't call me again he went into a tirade calling me everything in the book. Then proceeded to call back four times and threaten me consistently enough that I called the police. Buying an air horn.
It's Indians (isn't it ALWAYS Them or Filipinos??) It's Solar Green or some Other BS Solar Panel Company. "Peter" kept asking me if I get good sunlight. I explained that it's Winter here in Michigan, and, NO, there isn't much sunlight up here at this time of year. But-I pretended to go along for five minutes. I gave him a phony email when he asked. Then-he moved me up the chain to his manager or something. The manager moved me up to the Capo di tutti Capo. Asked for a year's worth of my electricity bills. I pretended to go get them. I also pretended to have a loud fight with my "wife" (I live alone) and "she" screamed as I told her that I wore the pants and I wanted the nice man to sell me Solar Panels (and then threatened to kill her with Domestic Violence while my friend/consiglieri remarked in Horror-LMAO) After a few minutes (and fifteen total minutes on the phone) I remarked "Who actually FALLS for this S**t...Demented Old Ladies?!?" and hung up. He called back a minute later and left no message. You see...THAT is what you need to DO to these people. With Robocalling-ignoring them or immediately hanging up just doesn't Hurt them badly enough. BUT-if we waste even a few Minutes of their time-they can't get to the naive or disabled folks that are their bread and butter.
